What We Do
We provide support and impartial advice to families with deaf and hearing impaired children in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.

Throughout the year we host events to give children the opportunity to try different activities and meet new people. In the past we have had swimming events, bowling, ice skating, days out high ropes to soft play centres, theme parks and the cinema. Plus much more.........

A lot of parents/guardians are worried and in some cases isolated when they learn that their child is deaf or hearing impaired. Our volunteers are the parents of deaf children or work in hearing services. They are able to speak of their own experiences and give advice to parents/guardians.

We want to particularly encourage families of newly diagnosed children to come along to our youth club and events. We want families to feel confident that they can face the future and meet other families in the same situations. Our events are regularly advertised at hearing services in Sheffield children's hospital, Rotherham hospital and Rotherham walk in centre.

We also hold a youth club every two weeks on a Friday for school age children which has a wide range of activities. We have welcomed visitors from local businesses who have come along to encourage our children to try and experience new things.

Visit our youth club page for more information......

We host a baby and toddler group called Little Ears which is run by Fiona and Shirley. This is for children age 0-4 who are deaf or hearing impaired and their siblings. There are plenty of toys to entertain the little ones and refreshments for the adults. If you are interested in coming along or would like further information please contact us.
